2006 Sponsorship Opportunities

1. Rack Cards. 100M rack cards promoting The Living Desert are printed and distributed through Certified Display every year in Coachella Valley and the Inland Empire. Sponsors will be given logo recognition on the cards as well as recognition on The Living Desert’s website, member newsletter, annual report, news releases and onsite displays
2. Enrichment Program Events Several enrichment events will be staged throughout the year to demonstrate how The Living Desert keeps its animals engaged with their habitats. Animals will be presented with a series of toys and treats designed to stimulate natural behaviors. Sponsors will be given logo recognition on the event print ads as well as recognition on The Living Desert’s daily program, website, member newsletter, annual report, news releases and onsite displays
3. 22nd Annual JAZZ Concert Series A series of jazz concerts featuring Roger Neumann and a repertory of celebrated guest musicians. Performances begin in November and continue through April. Sponsors will be given logo recognition on the event program as well as recognition on The Living Desert’s website, member newsletter, annual report, news releases and onsite displays
4. Mother Nature’s Earth Jam Mother Nature’s Earth Jam The Living Desert celebrates Earth Day each spring as close to the actual Earth Day, April 22, as possible. A variety of green activities and booths are available from over 25 different organizations. Sponsors will be given logo recognition on the event program as well as recognition on The Living Desert’s website, member newsletter, annual report, news releases and onsite displays
5. Starry Safari Overnight Camping Adventures A fun, family sleepover in the zoo’s tee pee village. Includes animal show, guided hike, zoo admission and campfire meals. Sponsors will be given logo recognition on the event program as well as recognition on The Living Desert’s website, member newsletter, annual report, news releases and onsite displays
6. Road Trips! A series of road trips are planned to fun and exotic locations throughout the year, i.e., Getty Museum, Salton Sea, Whale watching, Yosemite National Park, Long beach Aquarium and more! Sponsors will be given logo recognition on the event program as well as recognition on The Living Desert’s website, member newsletter, annual report, news releases and onsite displays
7. Living Desert University Offers certification in Master Desert Gardener and Master Desert Naturalist courses and provides life-long learning opportunities including classes in landscape design, gardening, natural history, ecology, geology, arts and crafts. Sponsors will be given logo recognition on the LDU packet as well as recognition on The Living Desert’s website, member newsletter, annual report, news releases and onsite displays
8. WildLife Wonders Animal Shows Offered twice daily, the animal show provides audiences with an entertaining and educational forum to view animals and their natural behaviors. Audience interaction. Sponsors will be given logo recognition on the daily program as well as recognition on The Living Desert’s website, member newsletter, annual report, news releases and onsite displays
9. Mother’s Day Events Celebrate mom with two great events. Sunrise Wildflower Walk and Continental Breakfast in the District Commissioner’s House with stunning views into the leopard habitat. Sponsors will be given logo recognition on the daily program as well as recognition on The Living Desert’s website, member newsletter, annual report, news releases and onsite displays
10. Howl-O-Ween The Living Desert is known for hosting the most popular community Halloween event each October featuring over 25 spooktacular displays, a haunted house, safe trick-or-treating, contests and more. Sponsors will be given logo recognition on the event program as well as recognition on The Living Desert’s website, member newsletter, daily program, print ads, TV ads, annual report, news releases and onsite displays
11. WildLights Holiday Festival Opening Thanksgiving weekend, The Living Desert transforms itself into a magnificent display of sparkling lights, holiday entertainment, Santa’s Corner and more! Sponsors will be given logo recognition on the event program as well as recognition on The Living Desert’s website, prints ads, TV ads, daily program, member newsletter, annual report, news releases and onsite displays
